CMT Music Awards Winners And Performers See An Increase In Sales

The recent (6/16) "2009 CMT Music Awards" did more than give away some trophies, it also ignited album sales for the performers and winners. The night's big winner, BRAD PAISLEY, saw the digital sales for his hits "Waitin' On A Woman" and "Start A Band" go up by 72% and 56%, respectively. The ZAC BROWN BAND enjoyed a 38% increase in sales of their debut album "Foundation" and a 31% jump in single sales for "Chicken Fried."
Other artists who saw increases in album sales include DARIUS RUCKER's "Learning To Live" by 52%, JASON ALDEAN's "Wide Open" by 25% and SUGARLAND's "Love On The Inside" by 30%. Three of CAPITOL/NASHVILLE's biggest acts enjoyed jumps in digital sales, TRACE ADKINS "You're Gonna Miss This" up 83%, LADY ANTEBELLUM "Lookin' For A Good Time" up 65% and RUCKER's "Alright" up 59%.
