Clear Channel Ups Rod Phillips To SVP/Programming

ALL ACCESS has learned that CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO has promoted MIAMI cluster OM ROD PHILLIPS to SVP/Programming for the TOULAS Region of Stations. PHILLIPS will work also with DAVE CROWL in the SOUTH and WEST Regional markets. His appointment is effective as of JULY 13th, 2009.
"ROD is an outstanding programming professional with regional market experience and has successfully programmed stations in CINCINNATI, CHICAGO and MIAMI, each time improving our stations and beating long-entrenched competitors," EVP/Operations GEORGE TOULAS said. "He is a great asset to our region, and the markets he will now oversee are in terrific hands.
A replacement for ROD's day-to-day MIAMI OM/programming duties is sought. CLEAR CHANNEL/MIAMI Pres./Market Mgr. BRIAN OLSON will be interviewing candidates to oversee Classic Rocker WBGG (BIG 106), Top 40 WHYI (Y100), Latin/Urban WMGE (MEGA 94.9), Rhythmic AC WMIA, Urban WMIB (103.5 THE BEAT), Sport WINZ-A, and Talk WIOD-A.
