No Need To Wait: FCC Approves FM Translators For AMs
June 29, 2009 at 4:57 PM (PT)
The FCC has adopted its new rules allowing AM stations to use FM translators to rebroadcast their signals within their primary coverage areas. The policy has been in place under grants of Special Temporary Authority and has now quietly been approved three days in advance of its previously scheduled hearing as part of THURSDAY's open meeting agenda.
The Commission announced that it has deleted all three items on THURSDAY's agenda because they have already been adopted.
