FCC Chairman JULIUS GENACHOWSKI has told the Commission's Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau he wants a quick review of the FCC's own emergency plans.
BROADCASTING AND CABLE's JOHN EGGERTON reports that GENACHOWSKI, in a memo, is giving the department 30 days to respond with a brief that provides a complete outline of emergency plans for the Commission in cases of both natural disasters and man-made cases like cyberattacks.
"In the event of a crisis, the Commission should be prepared to act decisively," GENACHOWSKI asserts in the memo.
