RADIO BILINGUE, a non-profit radio network with Latino control and leadership, is set to receive funds from the NATIONAL ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS as part of the U.S. government’s stimulus program. RADIO BILINGUE co-founder and CEO HUGO MORALES told the FRESNO BEE, "Because of the economy, we've had a really hard time raising funds. We have used up all of our reserves in recent months in order to avoid layoffs."
RADIO BILINGUE, the only national distributor of Spanish-language programming in public radio, is receiving a $25,000 grant as part of the stimulus program. RADIO BILINGUE has previously won many grants and awards since being founded in 1976.
