UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA noncommercial Classical WUFT-F (CLASSIC 89)/GAINESVILLE's impending flip on AUGUST 3rd to primarily News-Talk is part of further changes that have added Sports programming to Talk WRUF-A and combine the operations of the college's TV and radio stations, reports the GAINESVILLE SUN.
The paper reports that the AM side has added a Sports talk show with LARRY VETTEL 4-6p weekdays (the station airs local sports talk noon-6p, with a local news block in mornings and most other time slots featuring SPORTING NEWS RADIO) and will concentrate more on Sports, and that while the school is mulling changes at its commercial Rock WRUF-F, including whether to continue carrying the syndicated LEX AND TERRY show, there are no plans to move Classical or Jazz to WRUF.
The school is also creating a Division of Multimedia Properties to consolidate operations of the stations and online activities.
