FCC Chairman Adds More Top Staffers

FCC CHairman JULIUS GENACHOWSKI continues to add to his staff, naming TERRI GLAZE, former Legislative Assistant on communications issues to Sen. MARK PRYOR (D-OK), as Dir./Office of Legislative Affairs; attorney PAUL DE SA as Chief, Office of Strategic Planning and Policy Analysis; AMERICAN UNIVERSITY WASHINGTON COLLEGE OF LAW professor Dr. JONATHAN BAKER as Chief Economist; and Deputy Special Counsel to the President ZACHARY KATZ as Deputy Chief, Office of Strategic Planning and Policy Analysis.
On GLAZE's appointment, GENACHOWSKI said, "It is essential for the FCC to have a strong working relationship with Congress. TERRI GLAZE brings a wealth of experience and energy to this enterprise, and I am delighted to have her as part of my senior team."
On the other appointments, the Chairman added, "To tackle complex communications challenges, the FCC must be smart about a broad array of disciplines, including economics and business, technology, and the law – as well as the everyday experience of consumers. This team will help the agency tremendously in its push to engage in data-driven decision-making, grounded in hard facts, real-world experience, and sound economic analysis."
