N.Y. Post Reporters Off ESPN After Paper Prints Andrews Photos

NEW YORK POST baseball columnist JOEL SHERMAN will no longer appear on ESPN Sports WEPN-A (1050 ESPN)/NEW YORK as a commentator on MICHAEL KAY's afternoon show in the wake of the POST printing still photos from the surreptitious ERIN ANDREWS hotel room videos.
NEWSDAY quotes ESPN SVP/Communications CHRIS LAPLACA as saying that "In light of the NEW YORK POST's decision to run graphic photos of ESPN reporter ERIN ANDREWS, we have decided to stop utilizing POST reporters on any of our outlets. ERIN was grievously wronged here, and while we understand the POST's decision to cover this as a news story, their running photos obtained in such a fashion went well beyond the boundaries of common decency in the interest of sensationalism. This is not a decision we undertook lightly, but we feel it is an appropriate one."
POST reporters KEVIN KERNAN and LENN ROBBINS are frequent guests on ESPN2's "FIRST TAKE" and other reporters make appearances on ESPN RADIO and TV.
