SOUTHERN MEDIA COMMUNICATIONS, INC. has filed with the FCC to transfer the license of Talk WNSI-F/ATMORE, AL to itself as debtor-in-possession. The company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in FEBRUARY 2008 and failed to file for the change with the FCC, and it admits in the filing that "this filing should have been made contemporaneously with the bankruptcy filing, however, the licensee was not then represented by special communications counsel."
In another deal filed with the FCC, TIMOTHY P. LANGE is transferring his ownership interest in EAST COUNTY BROADCASTING, INC., licensee of low-power FM KRLY-LP/ALPINE, CA, to ADAM WILLIAMS for $1 and assumption of debt.
