Gary Dell Abate's $18K Pitch For LifeBeat

Longtime HOWARD STERN Show producer GARY DELL ABATE helped raise $18,000 for LIFEBREAT by arguably throwing the worst "First Pitch" in baseball history. Some observers considered the event as momentous as PAUL MCCARTNEY's recent concerts at CITI FIELD. (Of course, those observers need obvious counseling, but that's neither here nor there.)
When invited to throw out the First Pitch at a NEW YORK METS game, DELL ABATE "undertook rigorous preparation and consultation with a sports psychologist." Nevertheless, according to MARKETWIRE, "GARY's threw wildly to the right of the plate, almost hitting the umpire." Naturally's DELL ABATE's hurl, so to speak, has become the source of considerable revelry on the STERN Show.
On JULY 17th, GARY decided to put the ball, as well as the METS jersey he wore at the event, up for auction to support his LIFEBEAT charity. When the bidding ended, TSS-RADIO satellite radio retailer TAYLOR MITCHELL won the mementos for $18,000. The ball and jersey are on display and available for viewing by appointment at TSS-RADIO's offices in CHICAGO. MITCHELL has also set up a FACEBOOK fan page for the ball and the pitch.
