For the third consecutive year on terrestrial radio and the fourth overall, DAVID BRODY's BROADCASTER MARKETING SERVICES, GINO COMMUNICATIONS of GREENEVILLE, TN, and CLEAR CHANNEL Sports WCKY-A (HOMER 1530, THE SPORTS ANIMAL)/CINCINNATI will team to co-produce the FCS (Football Championship Subdivision) Game of the Week. An 11-game package of games featuring Division 1-AA schools including teams from 11 of the 14 FCS conferences will air this season. This year's schedule includes defending national champion RICHMOND and 13 teams which have been ranked in CSN’s Top 30 consolidated FCS ranking.
"We believe this schedule to be the most competitive and representative of all the schedules we have offered to our large listening audience," said BRODY, "and, in featuring all 8 current FCS automatic bid conferences and the two conferences -- NORTHEAST CONFERENCE and BIG SOUTH CONFERENCE —- which will receive automatic bids beginning in 2010, we think that first-time listeners will receive a unique perspective on big-time college football’s only subdivision which decides its champion on the field: 'College Football the Way It Ought to Be Played.'"
For the fourth consecutive year, GINO COMMUNICATIONS owner FRANK SANTORE returns as the play-by-play talent for the series.
GINO, BMS, and CLEAR CHANNEL are also offering a college basketball MID-MAJOR GAME OF THE WEEK series this winter, with details to come.
