WESTERN EDGE MEDIA tells the DICKINSON PRESS that it will not be signing on Country KDXN (WILD 105.7)/DICKINSON, SD. The station was originally announced for a FEBRUARY debut, but never signed on despite selling prepaid ad packages to 18 clients. The company now is in the process of dissolution.
WESTERN EDGE's "WILD BILL" PALANUK told the paper, "The transmitter alone is $50,000, the antenna is another $30,000. The cable that goes up the tower, that’s another almost $20,000. With the license and everything it cost right around $400,000 to get the thing on the air."
