Buffalo Pubcaster Revamps Executive Level

WESTERN NEW YORK PUBLIC BROADCASTING ASSOCIATION, the company that operates noncommercial News WNED-A (NEWS 970), Classical WNED-F (CLASSICAL 94.5), and PBS affiliate WNED-TV/BUFFALO, has shuffled its executive ranks, with former SVP/Broadcasting DICK DALY now Senior Consultant reporting to Pres./CEO DONALD BOSWELL. SVP/Finance/CFO MICHAEL SUTTON is now EVP/COO, with Controller NANCY HAMMOND taking over as SVP/Finance/CFO.
Dir./Education and Outreach JOHN CRAIG, Ph.D. adds the oversight duties of Education and Outreach VP PAMELA JOHNSON, who is exiting to join the CORPORATION FOR PUBLIC BROADCASTING's "READY TO LEARN" program as Exec. Director. Chief Program Officer JOH GRANT gets a title change to Chief Program and Production Officer, and adds oversight of the radio stations and TV programming department to his duties.
The company also named SYLVIA BENNETT as SVP/Development and upped News Dir. JAMES RANNEY to WNED-A Station Manager and Dir./Public Affairs.
"As we mapped out WNED’s strategic plan for the next few years, it became apparent that some new approaches would be helpful to better realize our goals," said BOSWELL. "The intent of this reorganization is to make our efforts more efficient by best utilizing the talents and vision of our top executives."
