Giving out surf boards as trophies turned out to be appropriate, writes THE LOS ANGELES TIMES, at the Teen Choice Awards, where -- on the music side -- MILEY CYRUS, ZAC EFRON and THE JONAS BROTHERS rode waves of victories.
The Awards, hosted by THE JONAS BROTHERS, were held at UNIVERSAL STUDIOS' GIBSON AMPHITHEATRE. The group performed "Much Better" and won five awards, including male red-carpet icons and breakout TV show for "JONAS."
MILEY CYRUS, who performed "Party in the U.S.A.," won six awards, including best comedy TV show for "HANNAH MONTANA," comedy actress, music/dance movie actress, hissy fit, music single for "The Climb" and summer song for "Before the Storm."
ZAC EFRON was a winner for best music/dance actor for "High School Musical 3" and comedy movie actor and rock-star moment for "17 Again."
The show, which will air TONIGHT (8/10) on FOX TV at 8p, also featured musical performances by BLACK EYED PEAS and SEAN KINGSTON.
