Univision Pres. Ray Rodriguez To Retire

UNIVISION COMMUNICATIONS Pres./COO RAY RODRIGUEZ has announced his plans to retire at the end of the year. THE WALL STREET JOURNAL reports that "despite strong audience growth, the company has posted a string of losses in recent years and has been scrambling to reduce its $10 billion debt load, much of it from its 2007 leveraged buyout by a group of private-equity firms. "
EVP/Strategy Officer CESAR CONDE will become Pres./UNIVISION NETWORKS effective OCTOBER 1st. UNIVISION COMMUNICATIONS CEO JOE UVA will assume the additional role of President.
RODRIGUEZ began at UNIVISION in 1990. He has served in various executive roles at the company's television operations.
CONDE has served in numerous executive roles at UNIVISION, including special assistant to UVA.
