There's still time left on the contract, so the ST. LOUIS CARDINALS have confirmed to the ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH that there are no plans to move the team's broadcasts from CH HOLDINGS Talk-Sports KTRS-A/ST. LOUIS for at least one more year. The CARDS moved to KTRS from 51-year home CBS RADIO Talk KMOX-A in 2006, and are in the fourth year of an eight year deal which allows the team to opt out after next season; some rumors had the team opting out after this season to move back to KMOX or to BONNEVILLE Sports WXOS (101 ESPN).
"We're locked in at KTRS through next season at least, and there are frameworks in place to extend beyond that," CARDS President BILL DEWITT III told the paper. "These rumors of us leaving as early as next year, I just have no idea where they are coming from."
