Sony Music CMG Shuffles Executive Hierarchy

SONY MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT's Commercial Music Group has made a slew of appointments. Chief among them is the appointment of RICHARD STORY as President. He will oversee LEGACY RECORDINGS, International catalog marketing, strategic and custom marketing, film and TV licensing, the CMG Commercial Sales and Digital Marketing teams as well as the company’s archives.
Assuming STORY's previous duties will be KEVIN LAWRIE, who will be Pres./EUROPE for SONY MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT. LAWRIE will oversee the European territories as well as SME’s operations in AFRICA. His previous role as Pres./Latin Region will be assumed by AFO VERDE, who will oversee SONY MUSIC’s operations across LATIN AMERICA supervising Latin music recordings in SOUTH AMERICA, CENTRAL AMERICA, the U.S., PUERTO RICO, THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC and MEXICO.
Finally, Alan Newham has been named EVP/International of SONY MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT. In this role NEWHAM will work closely with SME's individual business units in EUROPE in developing and implementing SONY MUSIC's strategic goals for the region.
