GROUPE RADIO ANTENNE 6 INC. gets CRTC approval to move its French AC CFGT-A/ALMA, QC to FM. The station will move to 97.7 FM with 50,000 watts at 77.6 meters. Sister French AC CHRL (PLANETE 99.5)/ROBERVAL, QC will reduce power to eliminate contour overlap.
In addition, the CRTC removed the condition on CANADIAN HELLENIC CABLE RADIO LTD.'s new FM station at 106.3 FM in MONTREAL that it find another frequency if it interferes with ABORIGINAL VOICES RADIO's CKAV-FM-10/MONTREAL. AVR took CJAV-FM-10 off the air earlier this year and surrendered its license for 106.7 FM.
The CRTC also approved the reorgainzation of the ownership of Tourist Information CJRN-A/NIAGARA FALLS, ON, with NOTHGUARD CAPITAL CORP.'s CJRN 710 INC. transferring the license to RADIO 710 AM INC., a company owned by NIAGARA MEDIA GROUP INC., also controlled by NORTHGUARD.
