RIVIERA BROADCAST GROUP Alternative KVGS/LAS VEGAS has completed a four-year signal upgrade project from a new transmitter location, located at the top of the STRATOSPHERE TOWER on the LAS VEGAS STRIP. With the new signal, KVGS has also changed monikers from "AREA 107.9" to "THE NEW 107.9 FM, THE ALTERNATIVE."
RIVIERA VP/Market Manager DAVE PRESHER said, "Thanks to the tireless work of three separate engineering teams, we’re able to transmit a full local broadcast signal into LAS VEGAS. Thanks to our ownership, and to the LAS VEGAS community for keeping the faith and being patient. Now that it’s complete, I am proud to say we’re finally at full power."
"The signal upgrade and subsequent investment needed to complete the process continues to show RIVIERA BROADCAST GROUP’s continued commitment to serving LAS VEGAS with the finest in locally generated programming and content," added RIVIERA OM/PD CARMY FERRERI. "The biggest comment and complaint we’ve received over the last four years focused on how our audience couldn’t hear us in all of the places they wanted to. Now, we can confidently say they can hear us in the car, at work, and in their homes all across LAS VEGAS."
