Food Bank Founder To Be Honored By WSB

ATLANTA GAS LIGHT and COX RADIO Talk WSB-A/ATLANTA have named ATLANTA COMMUNITY FOOD BANK founder BILL BOLLING the 2009 recipient of the "Shining Light Award." BOLLING will be honored with the annual award as recognition for his contributions to the community at a NOVEMBER 16th ceremony at ST. LUKE'S EPISCOPAL CHURCH in ATLANTA.
The radio station will air congratulatory messages to BOLLING from several past award recipients starting MONDAY (10/12).
"BILL BOLLING has touched the lives of so many people -- in ATLANTA and beyond," said VP/Market Manager Programming TONY KIDD. "BILL developed the model for efficient food collection and distribution that is now used throughout the UNITED STATES. We congratulate him and the ATLANTA COMMUNITY FOOD BANK as they embark on their next 30 years."
