CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40/Mainstream WIHT (HOT 99.5)/WASHINGTON, D.C. morning KANE Show and the American Cancer Society will team up to string "Bras Across D.C." to raise money and awareness for breast cancer research.
On FRIDAY, OCTOBER 30th, over 2,000 bras will be strung together and laid all the way around the reflecting pool between the WORLD WAR II MEMORIAL and the LINCOLN MEMORIAL. Last year bras were laid by the side of the pool, and this year’s goal is to lap it! Bras will be laid in honor of breast cancer survivors, those currently battling the disease, and those who have lost their battles.
"Everyone is united in their support for this cause because it affects each and every one of us in some way," KANE said "I'm proud of our community for coming together for the 2nd year in a row to support this amazing cause."
The KANE Show has been out at various locations throughout the DC Metro area this month, collecting bras for the event. Supporters are welcome to join him at the Reflecting Pool on FRIDAY at noon.
