ENTERCOM Adult Hits WNTR/INDIANAPOLIS has jumped on the sleigh full of stations that are now playing all-holiday music, launching with a Countdown of the top 100 CHRISTMAS songs. The move comes amidst reports that four employees were laid off and a format change will be on the offing once the holiday music ends after the holidays.
"In past years, our listeners have told us how much they love the CHRISTMAS music we play during the holidays; but, they wanted more of it to really get in the spirit," Dir./Operations & Programming SCOTT SANDS said. "We listened and spent many hours in SANTA’s workshop crafting the perfect radio station for offices and stores, lunchtime shopping runs to the mall, and evenings at home with family. It’s our gift to everyone in INDIANAPOLIS."
The INDIANAPOLIS BUSINESS JOURNAL reports that the laid-off air personalities include GREG BROWNING, JOHN CULVER and KELLI JACK. The follows last month's exit of STEVE HARTLEY, Dir./Sales for WNTR and sister stations WZPL and WXNT-A.
