John And Ken Launch Drive To Make CA Legislature Part-Time
December 4, 2009 at 4:32 AM (PT)
About 1,400 CALIFORNIA residents came to hear CLEAR CHANNEL Talk KFI-A/LOS ANGELES afternoon team JOHN AND KEN THURSDAY afternoon and sign a petition calling for the state legislature to go to part-time status at lower pay.
The event at the AYRES HOTEL opposite HONDA CENTER in ANAHEIM is projected as the first in a series of appearances to get signatures for the petition, launched by CITIZENS FOR CALIFORNIA REFORM's GABRIELLA HOLT, aimed at reforming the state legislature, one of the few to pay full-time salaries for legislators, by paying only for a reduced schedule. CALIFORNIA's legislators make a base salary in six figures, far above any other state. On the air, JOHN KOBYLT told listeners, "This needs to be day one of a movement."
JOHN AND KEN also air on CLEAR CHANNEL Talk KNEW-A/SAN FRANCISCO.
