Best wishes to our friend DON BARRETT, the Publisher of LARADIO.COM, who makes some big adjustments to his website for 2010.
Writes BARRETT, "Last SUMMER it was clear to me that the current subscription model for LARADIO.COM was in jeopardy. I gave myself a self-imposed deadline of 12/31 to figure out a new business model or bring this 13-year odyssey to an end." He continued, "For those who know of my agony during the past six months, it has not been easy. On any given day, right up until CHRISTMAS, it could have gone either way. The decision to continue is based on a number of reasons. I’ve invested 13 years into this love affair with LOS ANGELES Radio People. The business strategy is to create a vibrant site about LOS ANGELES Radio and attract new fans who will discover the site. With the additional unique visitors, the plan is to attract a stable of advertisers who want to reach not only the management and talent of SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA radio, but the massive fans of LA RADIO who have no destination for daily news about the industry. To keep the site open, live and local it’s also the hope that you will support the advertisers that support LARADIO.COM."
