The CRB (COUNTRY RADIO BROADCASTERS) has announced that ARISTA duo BROOKS & DUNN is this year's CRB Career Achievement Award winner. In addition Mt. WILSON BROADCASTERS Country KKGO/LOS ANGELES Dir./Programming CHARLIE COOK, will be the recipient of the CRB President's Award.
The awards will be presented at the Country Music DJ and Radio Hall of Fame Dinner and Awards Ceremony on TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 23rd, 2010, at the RENAISSANCE BALLROOM in downtown NASHVILLE. The event serves as the unofficial kick-off to CRS (COUNTRY RADIO SEMINAR) each year. This Year's CRS will take place from FEBRUARY 24th-26th.
In other news from the CRB, they have announced the first ever "Unemployment Rate," for this year's CRS at $99. “Our deeply discounted Unemployment Rate serves two purposes,” says CRB President and CBS Country KMPS/SEATTLE PD, BECKY BRENNER. “First, it gives those without work a financial break so that they can still afford to attend CRS 2010, and second, it provides them with the tools and networking opportunities to help them in their job search.” The Unemployment Rate provides attendees access to educational events only, including more than 20 seminars, panels and exhibits.
The special rate is currently available through JANUARY 31st, 2010. For info, contact KRISTEN McCRARY at (615) 327-4487 or Kristen@CRB.org. The 'regular' rate for CRS registration is $599 for all others attending the seminar. More information on CRS-2010 can be found at http://www.CRB.org.
