No PPM In The Big Easy -- For Now

ARBITRON said TODAY (1/5) that it will continue to estimate radio audiences in the NEW ORLEANS local market using its diary methodology, rather than PPM, until further notice.
The Company previously had planned to utilize the PORTABLE PEOPLE METER service to produce audience estimates in NEW ORLEANS beginning in late 2010.
ARBITRON said they are not commercializing its PPM service in NEW ORLEANS in 2010 in part to help broadcasters in the market continue to rebuild from HURRICANE KATRINA.
ARBITRON will maintain an ongoing evaluation of the market.
