BIG MACHINE RECORDS/NASHVILLE has announced that Southwest Promotion & Marketing Representative MANDY McCORMACK has been upped to Sr. Representative of West Coast Promotion & Marketing. MANDY takes over the region following LARRY HUGHES' exit last month (NET NEWS 12/8).
VP/Promotion JACK PURCELL said: "MANDY’s passion and approach to developing the BIG MACHINE artist roster in the Southwest has already been entered into the history books. Utilizing her already existing relationships this move takes her back to her stomping grounds and to the front line of radio airplay…the West.”
MANDY added: “Ain’t gonna lie… I’m going to miss the hell out of all of my amazing friends that I get to work with everyday in the Southwest. But like DOROTHY said … there’s no place like home! I am very proud and honored that SCOTT BORCHETTA and JACK PURCELL want me to take over the West Coast for BIG MACHINE. I couldn’t be more excited not only to return to Southern CALIFORNIA but to reunite with some of my ol’ radio friends … and to also work with those amazing programmers that I’ve just read about. It’s a BIG 2010 MACHINE!”
Former COLUMBIA/NASHVILLE Southwest Director of Promotion ALEX VALENTINE has also joined the label as Representative of Southwest Promotion & Marketing.
PURCELL said: “When talent the likes of ALEX VALENTINE becomes available there’s only one thing to do. You hire him. The addition of ALEX to our BIG MACHINE family really rounds out our team and further compliments the attitude and approach we share with our radio partners.”
ALEX added: "I've been a student of the music industry my entire radio career in search of a greater understanding of how labels operate in regard to breaking new artists. After having witnessed the accomplishments of SCOTT, JACK and the team at BIG MACHINE over the last three years I've been involved in the Country format, I feel strongly that this is a place I can continue to learn & grow as a label executive... and they sent me the JACK INGRAM catalogue with LOVELESS CAFE Biscuit Mix and homemade chocolate chip cookies... Best professional decision I've made so far!"
