Florida Pirate Broadcaster Dead After Domestic Dispute

ROUBENS MAIGNAN of PORT ST. LUCIE, FL, who was fined $1,500 by the FCC last APRIL for running a pirate FM station in PORT ST. LUCIE, FL, was found dead SUNDAY night after allegedly firing a gun at his girlfriend and grazing her with a bullet. The PALM BEACH POST reports that MAIGNAN was found dead in the house with a single gunshot wound after a SWAT team entered in response to a report of a domestic dispute.
MAIGNAN, 40, was fined last SPRING after his station was shut down in a JANUARY raid. His fine was reduced from $10,000 due to financial hardship.
