The CORPORATION FOR PUBLIC BROADCASTING has announced additional funding for its Leadership for Philanthropy project.
"Leadership for Philanthropy has been instrumental in helping public radio more effectively engage with community at a time of great community need," said CPB Pres./CEO PAT HARRISON. "The next steps of the project will help more stations connect and become more deeply engaged with their communities. Only public service media, locally owned and operated is connecting communities on the air, on line and in the community."
The program trains station GMs and boards to better connect with communities and more effectively raise funds. The program involved 20 stations in its first stage and 10 of those will continue to the next phase, joined by 30 additional stations.
