GIBSON GUITAR has announced the grand opening of DIANA'S SWEET SHOPPE, which was originally located in PORT HURON, MI and has been relocated to 318 BROADWAY in downtown NASHVILLE. A ribbon cutting will take place on THURSDAY (1/14) at 11a (CT), with NASHVILLE Mayor KARL DEAN and GLOTOWN/LOVE EVERYBODY/BIGGER PICTURE artist BIG KENNY on hand to commemorate the opening of the 1920's diner.
The shop will sell locally produced ice cream, candies and more. The shop's original interior and decor were carefully moved from PORT HURON to NASHVILLE piece by piece.
HENRY JUSZKIEWICZ said: “We are taking great care to preserve DIANA’s legacy and maintaining the original interior, recipes and ambiance of the famous eatery. We even have the working original DIANA’s MODEL T that will be parked out front on BROADWAY for all of our customers to enjoy. We wanted to keep the tradition alive and we thought lower BROADWAY would be an ideal spot for such a fun business. NASHVILLE is really in for a treat!”
Hours of operation for DIANA'S SWEET SHOPPE will be from 11a to 8p (CT) MONDAY through FRIDAY.
