Dallas Talk Show Cancelled Before It Started

JACK E. JETT won't be joining the lineup at CLEAR CHANNEL News-Brokered Talk KFXR-A (CNN 1190)/DALLAS after all, as the DALLAS OBSERVER reports that the station's management decided not to air JETT's talk show after a comment he made to the OBSERVER.
JETT hosted a show on RATIONAL RADIO while that programming operation aired on crosstown MULTICULTURAL RADIO outlet KMNY-A; in promoting his new show at CNN 1190, he told the OBSERVER's ROBERT WILONSKY "I don't just go in and talk on the mike while I'm jacking my cock. I research. I want to have as many eclectic guests as I do and be able to do that with less research."
CLEAR CHANNEL DALLAS' J.D. FREEMAN told WILONSKY, "The guy shows bad judgment, and I wouldn't put him on the air. Any personality who uses that language is not someone we want on the air." JETT suggested that the station decided to pull the show because it was being targeted at the gay community, and that the comment to the alternative weekly was not the real reason for the termination. "If I would have said 'one hand on my microphone and another hand playing with myself,' he would have found something else not to like," JETT contended.
