Country artist KEITH ANDERSON will perform at THE LISTENING ROOM in NASHVILLE at 7p (CT) on THURSDAY (01/28) as part of the SONGS FOR THE CURE benefit. The cancer benefit is especially important to ANDERSON who lost his MOTHER to brain cancer in 2008.
SONGS FOR THE CURE is a songwriters night to benefit fourth-grader SAVANNAH SWANDAL, who was diagnosed with when she was 5 with Stage IV mestastic alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare and aggressive childhood cancer. This is her third bout with the disease.
ANDERSON said: "I'm a pretty happy-go-lucky guy and can't say I've ever hated anybody or anything in my whole life, until a couple of years ago when my mom got cancer. You see what it does, not only to her but to families, and I'm just committed to doing whatever I can to find a cure."
LONESTAR's DEAN SAMS, songwriters GARY BURR, BILLY YATES, BRIAN WHITE, CORY BATTEN, GEORGIA MIDDLEMAN and LISA CARVER will also play the benefit. Music is from 7-10p (CT) and a $10 donation will be requested at the door.
