Prometheus Rallies Members To Push Senate LPFM Bill

PROMETHEUS MEDIA PROJECT is asking its followers to rally support for the Local Community Radio Act, the Senate bill that would allow for the creation of a large number of new, low-power FM radio stations by eliminating second-adjacent-channel interference standards.
The bill passed out of the Senate Commerce Committee late in 2009 but PROMETHEUS tells its members that the bill "must be voted out of the Senate and signed by the President this year, or thousands of community groups across the country will lose out on the opportunity to have low-power FM radio stations."
The organization is asking members to "talk to your neighbors, co-workers, friends and families. Ask your Senator how they will vote, and remind them to support S592. Make a radio show, a video, or an article about the fight to take the airwaves from the powerful, and build grassroots networks of alternative participatory local community radio."
