EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION is buying again, this time picking up noncommercial KWYQ/LONGVIEW, WA from WAY-FM MEDIA GROUP, INC. for $200,000.
In other FCC filings, control of COMMUNICATIONS CAPITAL COMPANY II, licensee of WUBR-A/BATON ROUGE, and COMMUNICATIONS CAPITAL COMPANY II OF LOUISIANA, licensee of KPCH-KXKZ-KRUS-A/RUSTON, LA is being transferred to BAROLA, LLC by equity owner KMK AND ASSOCIATES. Manager COMMUNICATIONS CAPITAL MANAGERS, LLC and Managing Dir./CEO G. WOODWARD STOVER, II have resigned from the companies.
GEORGIA COLLEGE & STATE UNIVERSITY is moving noncommercial WGUR/MILLEDGEVILLE, GA under the ownership of STUDENT RADIO COUNCIL OF GEORGIA COLLEGE AND STATE UNIVERSITY. The college has been granted a full-power noncommercial FM construction permit for WRGC, and is asking the Commission for relief from its promise in the auction process for that station to divest WGUR, since the divestiture did not add points to its application.
And BULLIE BROADCASTING CORPORATION has asked the FCC for permission to keep Gospel WBAW-F/PEMBROKE, GA off the air for 90 days. The station went off the air on JANUARY 29th due to equipment problems and hopes to return "soon."
