Seven individuals allegedly connected to an American-funded radio station in IRAN have been arrested by the Iranian government as spies, but the station's director denies that it has any employees in IRAN. The Farsi-language RADIO FARDA, affiliates with RADIO FREE EUROPE, is based in PRAGUE and WASHINGTON, and Director ARMAND MOSTOFI told CNN that he first heard of the arrests from news reports.
Reports from Iranian news agency PRESS TV said that the arrested included two CIA "operatives," and that the group planned to "stoke unrest and violence on a march scheduled for FEBRUARY 11th," the 31st anniversary of the revolution.
