Did HOWARD STERN really get approached to replace SIMON COWELL as a judge on "AMERICAN IDOL"? STERN didn't confirm or deny last week's NEW YORK POST report on that specific offer on MONDAY's SIRIUS XM RADIO HOWARD 100 show, but he said that he would consider the job and told co-host ROBIN QUIVERS that her "head would spin" if she heard some of the offers he gets. He speculated that the story about himself replacing COWELL may have started when COWELL said that STERN should replace him, but STERN decined further comment on whether he had any discussions with FOX.
STERN also played television news reports about the alleged offer and said in relation to one report, "$100 million to judge a karaoke contest? Yeah, I would do that show for $100 million." He added that he wouldn't be able to do the radio show at the same time as "IDOL" and proceeded to discuss how he would humiliate the other judges and RYAN SEACREST, who he thought would be the first to quit.
