Dick Lobo
Former PBS affiliate WEDU (TV)/TAMPA Pres./CEO DICK LOBO has been nominated by the OBAMA Administration to serve as Director of the INTERNATIONAL BROADCASTING BUREAU, which oversees the VOICE OF AMERICA and RADIO MARTI/TV MARTI, according to the ST. PETERSBURG TIMES' ERIC DEGGANS.
LOBO, who previously oversaw the OFFICE OF CUBA BROADCASTING during the CLINTON administration, had announced his resignation from WEDU last FALL; his appointment pends confirmation by the Senate.
