CLEAR CHANNEL Country KCCY (Y96.9)/COLORADO SPRINGS raised a total of $98,005 during the 4th Annual COUNTRY CARES FOR ST. JUDE RADIOTHON, on THURSDAY (2/11) through FRIDAY (2/12) from 6a to 7p (MT). The Radiothon raised money for CHILDREN RESEARCH HOSPITAL in MEMPHIS, the world’s premier center for the research and treatment of cancer and other catastrophic childhood diseases.
KCCY Programming Coordinator CHRIS BROOKS said: “I was truly overwhelmed by the passion and dedication once again from our listeners for ST. JUDE KIDS. Raising over $98,000 in 26 hours is amazing, especially during these tough economic times. Thank You!”
KCCY offered incentives throughout the Radiothon to encourage and increase donations, such as autographed guitars by LADY ANTEBELLUM, TIM McGRAW, GEORGE STRAIT, BRAD PASILEY and a trip for two to this year’s CMA AWARDS.
