Trustee Takes Control Of KVPW License

In the wake of a Chapter 7 bankruptcy filing, a trustee has filed with the FCC to take over the license of PRO-ACTIVE COMMUNICATIONS' silent KVPW/KINGSBURG-FRESNO, CA. The case was converted from Chapter 11 to Chapter 7 in SEPTEMBER 2009; Trustee ROGER W. BROWN was appointed to take over the company's assets.
With the programming dispute over the continuation of the station's leased Urban format settled, the receiver for WJNZ RADIO, LLC, AMICUS MANAGEMENT, has filed the formal paperwork to transfer WJNZ-A/KENTWOOD-GRAND RAPIDS, MI to HOLY FAMILY RADIO for $310,000. The sale was held up due to programmer ROBERT S. WOMACK's challenge to the bankruptcy court's selection of HOLY FAMILY as the buyer, but a settlement led to WOMACK moving his format to crosstown WYGR-A.
In an FM translator deal, JOHN DADY is selling K275AR/NEW CASTLE, CO and K272AI, K242BL, and K230AZ/GLENWOOD SPRINGS, CO to COLORADO RADIO MARKETING, LLC for $70,000.
