CBS RADIO Top 40/Mainstream KMVQ (MOViN 997)/SAN FRANCISCO is partnering with PEPSI for "Refresh the Bay," to identify and reward local BAY AREA citizens who go out of their way to better their communities. MOViN 997’s FERNANDO and GREG in The Morning will serve as ambassadors for this year-long campaign, with middayer ALEXA, afternooner ST. JOHN and night-timer MARY DIAZ all actively on the lookout for the heroes of the BAY AREA .
"In 2010, MOViN 997 has dedicated itself to helping everyone in the BAY AREA, CBS/SAN FRANCISCO VP/Programming and PD MICHAEL MARTIN SAID. "We've been paying winning listeners' bills since the beginning of the year and now we want to shine the spotlight on the people who make the BAY AREA a great place to live through their dedication to important causes."
"Refresh the Bay" is a grassroots effort on the part of MOViN 997 and PEPSI to identify those in the BAY AREA who make a truly positive difference in the lives of many. MOViN 997 and PEPSI ask BAY AREA citizens to head to www.movin997.com and nominate people who, in their minds, represent what it takes to be a local BAY AREA community hero. Each month, MOViN 997 will select a new hero, feature them on the air and website, and award $1.000 to the non-profit organization of their choice.
