ENTERCOM Hot AC KALC (ALICE 105.9)/DENVER raised over $1.5 million dollars for the CHILDREN’S MIRACLE NETWORK benefiting THE CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL over a three day radiothon. This year, "ALICE 105.9’s 36 Hours for Kids," fundraising efforts brought the event’s nine year total past the $10 million dollar mark.
KALC & KQMT PD DYLAN SPRAGUE, told ALL ACCESS, ""This is our 9th year and it has become this great big community event that everyone in DENVER wants to be part of. The entire ALICE staff was amazing. It's not easy to turn off regular programming for 3 days, but our staff made it some of the most compelling radio I have ever heard."
This year, ALICE integrated both FACEBOOK and TWITTER to help share the experience and energy at THE CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL. The social media outlets provided an interactive way for listeners to share stories, donate money and be continuously involved in the radiothon. A text feature was also added this year where listeners could text "OURKIDS" for the last ten minutes of every hour to make a donation of $10. ALICE’s website featured video and audio profiles allowing listeners to put a face to the cause and experience the stories of children interviewed on-air.
