COMMUNITY BROADCASTING CO., INC. has taken WIGG-A/WIGGINS, MS silent, telling the FCC that "the station manager is ill and unable to tend to station affairs at present."
In other silent Special Temporary Authority filings at the FCC, MORGAN COUNTY INDUSTRIES, INC. is asking for more time to keep Country WRLV-A/SALYERSVILLE, KY off the air, citing delays in rebuilding the station's transmitter building due to weather and the location of the building in a flood plain.
And SAN JOAQUIN BROADCASTING CO.'s formal filing for a Silent STA for KSTN-A/STOCKTON, CA, which went dark last week, says that the licensee "is exploring the possibility of continuing operation of the station on a brokered time basis in order to reduce operating costs."
