ESPN Suspends Kornheiser For Remarks About Storm
February 23, 2010 at 3:22 PM (PT)
TONY KORNHEISER has been suspended from his TV duties on ESPN's "PARDON THE INTERRUPTION" for two weeks for comments he made on his local RED ZEBRA BROADCASTING Sports WTEM-A (ESPN 980)/WASHINGTON radio show about ESPN anchor HANNAH STORM.
On FRIDAY's show, KORNHEISER made fun of STORM's attire on TV that morning, calling her clothes "horrfying," too tight ("sausage casing") and inappropriate for her age. He later apologized to STORM personally and on the air, but was not on "PTI" MONDAY.
