The AMERICAN ADVERTISING FEDERATION’s TUCSON chapter gave its highest honor, a GOLD ADDY®, to CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO/TUCSON for it’s public service campaign targeted towards stopping graffiti in TUCSON.
Conducted annually by the AMERICAN ADVERTISING FEDERATION (AAF), the local ADDY® AWARDS is the first of a three-tiered, national competition. Concurrently, all across the country, local entrants vie for recognition as the very best in their markets. At the second tier, local winners compete against other winners in one of 15 District competitions. District winners are then forwarded to the third tier, the National ADDY® AWARDS competition.
The "STOP GRAFFITI" campaign was launched with an on air awareness program on all seven CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO/TUCSON's stations including KRQQ, KOHT, KWMT, KTZR, KNST-A, KXEW-A and KWFM-A. Each of the stations' websites also featured information on how to stop graffiti, report it and request help for clean up in our neighborhoods.
