A junior hockey play-by-play announcer was thrown out of a playoff game TUESDAY in BILLINGS, MT.
The BILLINGS GAZETTE reports that BILLINGS BULLS voice BILL CALLAHAN, whose calls are heard via webcast, was ejected from the BULLS' NORTHERN PACIFIC (NORPAC) HOCKEY LEAGUE playoff game against HELENA for complaining about the officiating; the officials heard the comments as they skated off the ice and referee NORM LOCHTIN asked CALLAHAN to leave the building.
After a brief dispute in which BULLS assistant coach KYLE MCGLONE was also ejected, CALLAHAN left and former player TAYLOR FRITTS and public address announcer LEE WEBBER took over for the rest of the game.
