Brooks & Dunn Hold Final Show To Benefit The Country Music HOF
February 25, 2010 at 12:26 PM (PT)
ARISTA/NASHVILLE duo BROOKS & DUNN made a special appearance today during the COUNTRY RADIO SEMINAR in NASHVILLE to announce that the final show on their upcoming tour, “The Last Rodeo”, will be a benefit concert for the COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME AND MUSEUM. The show will take place at NASHVILLE’s BRIDGESTONE ARENA on AUGUST 10th, to mark the culmination of the duo’s 20-year career. Special guests will be announced at a later date and tickets will be $25, plus a convenience fee.
BROOKS & DUNN said: “For several years, we have tossed around ideas for the best way to make a contribution to the Museum. We have a tremendous appreciation for the road that was traveled by the great stars that came before us. Their long nights in station wagons with instruments strapped on the roofs built an industry that allowed us to cruise around in big tour buses. Our last show together will certainly be a historic point in our lives and careers, and we feel it’s only right that the proceeds from this concert go to a place where all history in our business is so reverently preserved.”
Museum Director KYLE YOUNG said: “The enormity of this gesture, including the endorsement it implies and the example it sets, is something the Museum’s board and staff will contemplate with gratitude for a very long time. We are grateful to KIX and RONNIE for supporting our educational mission and for putting the Museum on the radar screen of their nation of fans. The only word for them is magnificent!”
The NASHVILLE show, along with the majority of dates for the tour, will go on sale MARCH 6th. Visit www.livenation.com or www.ticketmaster.com for tickets. Check out BROOKS & DUNN’s website at www.brooks-dunn.com for more information and full tour dates.
