POLITICO's BEN SMITH is reporting that the DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL COMMITTEE's "Organizing for AMERICA" campaign arm has launched a mobilization effort called "On The Air" aimed at getting Democrats to call Talk radio shows to promote the WHITE HOUSE's health care plan.
The campaign website tells supporters, "The fate of health reform has been a focus of debate in living rooms and offices, on TV and online -- and on Talk radio. And since millions of folks turn to Talk radio as a trusted source of news and opinions, we need to make sure OFA supporters are calling in with a pro-reform message."
Users are given a list of stations and shows with phone numbers to call when the health care topic comes up. It also gives the callers talking points to use on the air and other tips, and asks users to report back on their experiences.
