L.M. COMMUNICATIONS Triple A WCOO (THE BRIDGE AT 1055)/CHARLESTON is joining forces again with The CHARLESTON TEA PLANTATION to present the 4th Annual FIRST FLUSH FESTIVAL on SUNDAY, MAY 16th.
Although more acts will be added, the headliner will be ROBERT RANDOLPH AND THE FAMILY BAND, with local favorites CROWFIELD also on the bill.
CHUCKTOWN MUSIC GROUP will be running an auxiliary side stage with local acoustic music in between acts. There will also be Gospel music from the NEW BETHLEHEM BAPTIST CHURCH and an appearance from the EDITH L. FRIERSON STEPPERS.
The event marks the time when Mother Nature awakens the tea plants to another growing season. In addition to the music, there is food, games, relaxation and friendship. Attendees can also observe the process of making tea in the factory and take a bus tour of the plantation.
