Diane Rehm Wins 'Shorty Award' For Twitter Posts

AMERICAN UNIVERSITY noncommercial Talk WAMU/WASHINGTON and NATIONAL PUBLIC RADIO's DIANE REHM was one of the winners of the second annual "Shorty Awards" for best use of TWITTER. REHM won the Shorty for the News category, with musicians TED LEO and IVETE SANGALO taking the Music category and former AIR AMERICA MEDIA host and current MSNBC personality RACHEL MADDOW tied for the Journalist award. ESPN's "SPORTS GUY" BILL SIMMONS, who does a podcast for the network, won for Sports.
The awards were created by SAWHORSE MEDIA with support from the JOHN S. AND JAMES L. KNIGHT FOUNDATION.
