ESPN Radio Sets World Cup Coverage

ESPN RADIO will offer live coverage of all 64 FIFA WORLD CUP soccer matches in SOUTH AFRICA this year, starting with the JUNE 11th opener through the final on JULY 11th. 13 matches will air live on ESPN RADIO's main channel, with others distributed separately. The network will also produce weekly one-hour "FIFA WORLD CUP Soccer Specials" APRIL 2nd through MAY 28th on FRIDAYS at 8p ET, moving to 6p daily JUNE 1st through JULY 11th.
On ESPN's lead radio soccer team, JP DELLACAMERA will handle play-by-play, with TOMMY SMYTH as analyst; GLENN DAVIS and KYLE MARTINO will be on another crew, and ROSS DYER and former NEW YORK COSMOS goalkeeper SHEP MESSING will call some games as well. Matches will be called from ESPN's BRISTOL, CT studios until the quarterfinals, when DELLACAMERA and SMYTH will head to SOUTH AFRICA to be on hand for two of the quarterfinal matches and the semifinals, third place match, and final.
